When talking about traveling the country in his $500,000 bus, madden told the magazine: "I love the small country towns and the cafes. It's fun going to the Mexican restaurant in Van Horn, Texas. The guy's wife is the cook." The CBS announcer was talking about Chuy's, which he first visited Oct. 26. The restaurant, about 120 miles East of El Paso, is owned by Chuy Uranga, whose wife, mary Lou, does the cooking. "He told me he'd be back, but I thought he was kidding," Chuy Uranga said. But Madden returned New Year's Eve and ordered his favorite dish: fajitas. "I asked him if he had fajitas before, and he said 'yes, buy not like these,'" Chuy Uranga said. |
